Ashley furniture sold furniture to customers here in Knoxville Tennessee and then never delivered it. The manager would not answer questions and now the store has shut closed up this week even though they were still selling last week! People here are pissed. this company in batavia new york feel they are above the law, they treat there employees worse than any company i have ever seen letting people go for no reason, selling damaged furniture as new. the funiture comes from vietnam china and they mark it up 500% and all made with press board, the warehouse in batavia new york is filled with junk that customers have returned and then they try to sell... BUYER BEWARE! I used to be a fan of Ashley Furniture . Not anymore!Their quality and service has gone downhill! My husband and I purchased several pieces of furniture there and immediately had problems with several items (the quality!!). Ashley furniture wanted to repair but not replace the items. I purchased a dining room set from Kronheim furniture before it went out of business. The wood frame of my China cabinet broke apart when I set the glass in it. I wound up having to tighten up and to glue the dining room chairs because they became loosened and the dining room set just slid off. my wife and i received a dinning room table for xmas from our children this is our for first experience with ashley. WE ARE NOT SATIFISED. THE LEAF FOR TABLE DAMAGED THE CHAIRES ARE NOT LEVEL MARKS ON TABLE DISCOLUR . Bought several thousand of dollars in furniture back in march of 2007, had it delivered to a new home in April of 2007. It took the company 3 times to bring me all of my furniture, which they delivered me defective furniture, damaged my home and soiled my ivory carpet. I purchased a sectional micro-fiber couch May 2008. September 2008 the cushions started sagging. The sofa is in a media room and only 1 person living in the home - so there is very minimal usage of the furniture. I have had poor customer service over the years, but Ashley Furniture takes the cake! I ordered legs to a piece of discontinued furniture FOUR weeks ago. I was told by their "customer service" today that they will be shipped within the next three weeks. When I purchased these legs, I was told, in the store, they had several sets available. I bought a couch, three living room tables, a recliner, and a dinning room table. The delivery man called to get directions because he couldn't find our house. We applied for credit and then closed it. A few weeks later we re applied and were accepted for $3,000. We can back a few days later and picked out our furniture. When we went to the "customer service" desk the woman, Tonya Friedman, Union Deposit, Pa., called the finance company and they told her that our account was closed and we had to fill out another applications and she has to fax...
