Ashley Furniture: still waiting for furniture
We purchased and paid for a couch and chair on 3/13/09. We were told that delivery would take 6 to 10 weeks but it would probably be closer to 10 weeks. We actually appreciated the fact that they were up front about the time for delivery. At 10 weeks we called the store and they said they were a little behind put assured us it would only be two more weeks. Two weeks later we called and they said they were backlogged and it would only be two more weeks. At 14 weeks we were told it was being put on a truck in L. A. and we should have it in a week. At week 15 we actually got a call from the store and they said it would be delivered with in the week. This is week 16, 7/3/09 and we still have no furniture.
Don't waste your time buying anything at Ashley Furniture unless you have months to wait on a delivery. 127944f

Written by Melissa on February 8, 2012 from -, -, US I bought from Ashley Furniture and my delivery only took 4 days, it depends on if they have it in stock or if it has to be built and brought in from the factory. If they told you upfront then you should have known there was a delay and went some where else if it was a big deal. If the piece is popular of course it is going to be back ordered due to popularity. I have bought my whole entire house of furniture from Ashley and they have been wonderful. Just because you have a not so great experience at one store doesn't mean they are all like that. You have to remember there are franchise locations and corporate locations. The company must have more good experiences than bad to still be in business this long. You might no agree with me about them and you don't have to shop their anymore but I will continue to shop at my Ashley Furniture stores in Georgia, they are awesome and aren't like the stores that people have described on here. |
