In November 2007, only 3 months ago, my husband and I bought $1700 worth of furniture from Ashley Furniture Homestore in Knoxville, TN... the store at Turkey Creek if anyone lives around here, And in December we called because we were so unhappy with the furniture. I read on the back of the reciept that they do not give refunds, but it doesn't say they won't EXCHANGE soooo we called and the girl said i will have your sales rep call you back ok we said and hung up. Two weeks later nothing, so we decided to email, well, a month later NOTHING still. So we emailed Corp. and the lady said i will send this email to your homestore ok i said. Maybe this will get something done NOPE.... almost a month later NOTHING. So i called again today and the whole time i talked to someone all i heard was, all the stores are independently owned WELL DUH!!!! i know that, i just want to talk to someone who can get something done. We want to use our 5 year warranty to exchange for something else, now that i know i'm not stupid and others don't like ashley furniture for the way they have been treated i feel better.... if something doesn't get done i am going to have to do something myself!!! I promise.

well, not like this is going to get anything done for me but it'll let other know not to go the ASHLEY HOMESTORE FOR ANYTHING!!!! THEY ARE TERRIBLE IN THE CUSTOMERE SERVIC DEPT.

I just came from the Knoxville Ashley Furniture Store in Turkey Creek. The above poor customer service comments ARE ACCURATE. I actually showed up to help a friend decide if she wanted the "floor model" of an office desk because after 5 weeks, she has been given the run around, lied to and has not received her furniture that was promised to arrive in 2-3 weeks (i was there when she picked it out and purchased it..I heard the salesperson say this two times). When we were dealing with the Manager tonight, Johnny Pope, he first said he would give my friend her full refund, then when I said something, he got UGLY and said that now they can just get their refund from corporate. I wasn't even being my typical smart *** self! He just was flat out rude/inappropriate for being in a customer service role and NO ONE SHOULD SHOP AT THIS STORE!!!!

Due to the fact that the person who submitted a post on this site did not use their real name, we have no way of knowing if they actually contacted AFI for assistance. Therefore, if we do not hear from a consumer, we are unable to assist.
