Purchased the Crawford sofa/lvst, arrived with broken arm on sofa and popping noises on the arms of the lvst. Told not to use the arms not told when buying you won't get your money back they want to force you to buy again from them.
Opened a dispute with Discover.
Poorly made with a 1 by on the arms! We got to look inside when the repairman came.

I know the feeling. I just a review for.the same problem.
I was a unhappy employee for ashley furniture warehouse
Ashley furniture.......less than quality furniture and horrible delivery service.
Ashley Furniture review in Kent, Washington: Absolutely terrible service
Ashley Furniture review in Cincinnati, Ohio: Pissed off! Bad furniture. Bad service!
I have had a similar situation with the Ashley Furniture in Elkton. My furniture came and the foot rest were hard to put down.
The delivery people said, " that it had to be broken and if it didn't become easier that they would come and adjust the foot rest." After they left, I closely inspected the furniture to discover that one of the cushions look completely different than the rest. Within 6 weeks the fabric started balling and strings started popping out all over the furniture. I called the store and they told me that I had to deal with their warehouse in Delaware. I called the warehouse and was told that I would have to pay a $50.00 charge for them to look at the furniture.
I refused and then they said I could, "take pictures and send them in." I live in the country and did not have a computer that worked in my home at the time. I do not have a digital camera. Finally, I kept calling and my daughter who goes to college took some pictures and we forward them to Ashley. I continued to call and was told that the warehouse manager was not in, on vacation, at another location, etc., but that someone would call me back.
After continuing to go into the store to complain and continuing to call the warehouse, I finally received a call from a technician who was on his way to look at the furniture. He left my home indicating that someone would contact me, but I never received a phone call. This all started at the end of November, I first complained about the furniture the beginning of January and it is now the end of August. The list goes on to long with all the deceptive and lying practices that this store's warehouse does to its customers.
The warehouse manager is just plain deceptive and lies, as well as the technician who came to my home. STAY AWAY FROM ASHLEY in Elkton, MD.
Ashley Furniture review in Monticello, Illinois: Blamed for factory faults.
I'm glad there are people out there that realize this. If I buy something cheap, I'm not going to expect it to last.
Bought a dining room set and buffet to match. The buffet was built poorly.
It was not damaged by shipping, it was actually built incorrectly to where one of the legs would not fit. The other three slots for the legs was built properly. It was obvious that the woodworker knew this and tried to do some of his/her own correction to the server and just gave up. I will have to submit photos to show at a later date.
Customer Service was not good at all, I started off being nice but that did not work and I had to ask for management. This was our first purchase with this company and will be our last. Even though the company's customer service told us they will order a new one, it has been over a week and it is still not here. I'm trying to be patient but we spent a lot of money and in this day and age when many people are unemployed and companies are closing...you would think this company would develop better customer service skills and have quality assurance at their factories before shipping out to their customers.
Do not buy from a saleswoman, IDonna, in AR. Signed, Unhappy Customer!

Not everyone has the means to "pick up" the purchased furniture. The main warehouse is 70 miles from my home. Its difficult as a handicapped person.
So, truthfully the delivery time is the real issue; there was no mention of the furniture itself. You can always opt to pick up the furniture yourself (even if they didn't tell you that). Or perhaps a dealer that has a giant warehouse and you can get it when you go to shop there instead of having it made.
