Purchased the Crawford sofa/lvst, arrived with broken arm on sofa and popping noises on the arms of the lvst. Told not to use the arms not told when buying you won't get your money back they want to force you to buy again from them.

Opened a dispute with Discover.

Poorly made with a 1 by on the arms! We got to look inside when the repairman came.

My wife and I purchased a Signature Design by Ashley sofa and love seat a year and a half ago. Not only has the seam on the arm blown apart but the vinyl/plastic on the surface is pealing from the backing. I've tried to get a response from Ashley for 4-5 months now...

I was a unhappy employee for ashley furniture warehouse

ashley furniture is the worst company to work for, they overwork their employees and dont pay enough, i have seen day after day how the furniture is made and i would never buy it, sometimes the wood is rotting or broken and they still continued to build the product and send it to their customers, they dont care about their employees, human resources are racist, they fire the good employees and keep the ones that dont care about quality and their jobs. furniture is based on quality and people out there just dont care. so my personal opinion from experience of being a ex employee DO NOT BUY THE FURNITURE OR WORK FOR THE COMPANY!

Ashley furniture.......less than quality furniture and horrible delivery service.

I purchased 3000.00 worth of furniture, lamps and area rug. I had to wait 3 weeks for the delivery. The weather turned bad so delivery was postponed and I had to wait another 2 weeks for delivery again. Customer service is horrible for the extra price you pay to have your items delivered. They have no problem taking your money and once they have it good luck getting your stuff. I will NEVER do buisness with these jerks again. I took 2 whole days off of work and they gave them a 3 hour window to deliver. The problem you don't know the window until the night before.

Not everyone has the means to "pick up" the purchased furniture. The main warehouse is 70 miles from my home. Its difficult as a handicapped person.

So, truthfully the delivery time is the real issue; there was no mention of the furniture itself. You can always opt to pick up the furniture yourself (even if they didn't tell you that). Or perhaps a dealer that has a giant warehouse and you can get it when you go to shop there instead of having it made.

Ashley Furniture review in Kent, Washington: Absolutely terrible service

My husband and I bought a complete king bedroom set, a power recliner sofa and love seat and a tv stand in the beggining of december and our delivery was divided by 2, one for de 26th of december where everything but the sofa would be delivered and the sofa for the 7th of January. We paid on cash and on the 26th we received our bed with no box spring and they didnt bring our dresser AND the loveseat was broken. These two pieces came in two different days and the technician didnt come until January 5th to fix the loveseat and 3 days later the loveseat was broken again and the technician wont come until the 26th . When they finally brought our box spring they brought the wrong one and we went to the store to have them fix that problem. The manager told us she would call in 2 or 3 days with a date for the exchange, one week went by and nothing, we went there again and they gave us one of their display ones while they fixed the issue and once again told us they would call back with a date, its been 8 days and still nothing. Now the couch, as I said it was supposed to be on the 7th, they changed for January 18th, then 19th or 20th and now it is the 25th. As you can see my experience was a nightmare, I would NOT RECOMMEND Ashley to anyone.

Perhaps purchasing from a dealer with a warehouse that has everything there on-site would be a better alternative next time. Of course the selection will probably be limited to only a few styles etc based on size of the warehouse, but at least it is instant gratification. Its an option anyway.

Ashley Furniture review in Cincinnati, Ohio: Pissed off! Bad furniture. Bad service!

Purchased a couch for my friend in September. Couch seats started to sink on both ends. They have been out to repair it four times and have now scheduled a fifth time. It is clear they are going to let the manufactures warranty expire and then not honor the extended warranty. Their furniture is horrible and they do not stand behind their products. I will never buy from them again and have warned everyone to stay away from them. Am now going to ask for a refund so I can go and buy a couch somewhere else. Really angry and fed up!

Bought a dining room set and buffet to match. The buffet was built poorly.

It was not damaged by shipping, it was actually built incorrectly to where one of the legs would not fit. The other three slots for the legs was built properly. It was obvious that the woodworker knew this and tried to do some of his/her own correction to the server and just gave up. I will have to submit photos to show at a later date.

Customer Service was not good at all, I started off being nice but that did not work and I had to ask for management. This was our first purchase with this company and will be our last. Even though the company's customer service told us they will order a new one, it has been over a week and it is still not here.

I'm trying to be patient but we spent a lot of money and in this day and age when many people are unemployed and companies are closing...you would think this company would develop better customer service skills and have quality assurance at their factories before shipping out to their customers. Signed, Unhappy Customer!

I purchased a 6 piece bedroom set and the decorative drawer pulls are breaking 1by 1... cheaply manufactured.

There are 23 matching on my furniture and the internet and Ashley website make no mention of ANY replacement parts. This might turn expensive for me if I need to replace it all.

I have had a similar situation with the Ashley Furniture in Elkton. My furniture came and the foot rest were hard to put down.

The delivery people said, " that it had to be broken and if it didn't become easier that they would come and adjust the foot rest." After they left, I closely inspected the furniture to discover that one of the cushions look completely different than the rest. Within 6 weeks the fabric started balling and strings started popping out all over the furniture. I called the store and they told me that I had to deal with their warehouse in Delaware. I called the warehouse and was told that I would have to pay a $50.00 charge for them to look at the furniture.

I refused and then they said I could, "take pictures and send them in." I live in the country and did not have a computer that worked in my home at the time. I do not have a digital camera. Finally, I kept calling and my daughter who goes to college took some pictures and we forward them to Ashley. I continued to call and was told that the warehouse manager was not in, on vacation, at another location, etc., but that someone would call me back.

After continuing to go into the store to complain and continuing to call the warehouse, I finally received a call from a technician who was on his way to look at the furniture. He left my home indicating that someone would contact me, but I never received a phone call. This all started at the end of November, I first complained about the furniture the beginning of January and it is now the end of August. The list goes on to long with all the deceptive and lying practices that this store's warehouse does to its customers.

The warehouse manager is just plain deceptive and lies, as well as the technician who came to my home. STAY AWAY FROM ASHLEY in Elkton, MD.

Ashley Furniture review in Monticello, Illinois: Blamed for factory faults.

Ashley Furniture is basically denying factory flaws. I have this huge sectional that cost over 2500.00. The material is clothlike and is coming apart at the seams, the undermatting is showing in three spots which nothing can rub or touch the seam. Just one armrest on the couch is starting to shed threads. This thread shedding is being blamed by the service technician by my clawless cat. The seam separation is being blamed on people bumping into the seams making them unravell, but no one can get get to these spots to even bump them. So basically they are just utilizing their training and making excuses, deny fault, more excuses, deny fault even more. Well I know one person that will be contacting the BBB.

The BBB is ONLY useful if the business in question is actually a member. If a business is not a member of it then the BBB has no real power to do anything; Even if it did the "governing" body of the BBB IS the business that are part of it. That sounds pretty 'off', ya know.
