I purchased a table and chairs and when I assembled one I realized the bottom of the leg had sheared off in the box. You could tell that there was a defect in the wood at the top and bottom of the sheared area because the stain had leaked through the weakend areas. I...

Ashley Furniture review in Gulf Breeze, Florida: Delivered love seat damaged & want to repair it instead of replace!

My new love seat was delivered with a tear in it and Ashley Furniture wants to repair it and I refused at the time of delivery and requested they put it back on the truck. I was told that they will replace it, but customer service has to contact me first and they will put the order in to replace it then. I was told by Emily (CSM) that I should have read the policy. I would follow policy if it had happen by me or after the delivery. I refuse a new repaired piece of furniture. I will not except a repaired piece of furniture that I did not cause the damage to, it was brand new and I paid a brand new price for it and now I am being told it's policy. Pam C.

This SAME thing happened to me with Haverty's. I bought two new barstools.

One had an obvious crack in the arm area and I noticed the crack as soon as the delivery guy brough it inside. The delivery guy called Haverty's and at first they told me to keep the damaged barstool until a new one could be sent. Then Haverty's called and a representative informed me that they will send someone to my house to repair the barstool. Ok, I paid for a new one.

I want a replacement, not a patched up job on something that I personally did not damage. I guess that is the policy everywhere, but it stinks!

Ashley furniture company are liars and rude. After the purchase of a new cocktail table and being promise no less than 14 day delivery, I have been hung up on, lied to and treated rudely by their customer service as well as sells representives. I was informed after 14 days came and went that it could take up to 8 wks to get my table but I could get it faster if I drove to the warehouse and picked it up there, which I did after 5 wks of waiting. Once home and opened the box it is damaged (huge hole in the side). I call the store they refer me to custmor service, who inform me I have to call the store I bought it at which I had already done. CS rep tells me No refunds or exchanges and hangs up on me.

Ashley Furniture Table

Ashley Furniture does not stand behind their furniture.

In a previous post I complained about the color flaking off of our new leather recliner purchased from Ashley Furniture only 10 months ago. I stated that Ashley would pay us another visit. They did. Another "technician" came and painted over the flaked off area as a "courtesy" because our almost $200.00 warranty doesn't cover the flaking off of the color. Imagine that! In the first place I thought leather was dyed to color. How could it flake off? Believe me when I say there is something terribly wrong with how they process the leather. It is funny how the "technicians" are programmed to try and lay the blame on the customer. On a final note, the customer relations person we talked with has basically said there is nothing more they can or will do. I am not going to let this issue die just yet.

ASHLEY FURNITURE is the worst furniture..I bought a NEW table and the trim is peeling off....the first day! I had my "new" table repaired and it still was peeling!

You..edz.. sound like an ashley employee blaming the customer for the poor quality....and why do you think they have a NO RETURN policy?

I have been in the furniture business for 20 yrs and have always sold middle to high end furniture and I finally looked at ashley and I was actually inpressed with the quality. When it comes to leather it is purchased from many different tanneries and is done many differents ways to achieve color and texture many of which are dyed and painted which can flake off, and the age of the chair has no bearing.

color will only flake off if certain things are spilled. and also certain peoples body oil will cause the same thing. I'm posting this because I'm tired of people that don't have a clue about furniture always blaming the seller or manufacturer when 99.9% of the time the problems are caused by the comsumer!!

And remember you get what you pay for Ashley is better than I expected it would be but is by no mean high end of top quality and you are not going to get a high grade leather at that price from any company. this was posted by someone who does know what they are talking about and have 20 yrs to back it up.

Ashley Furniture review in Issaquah, Washington: Ashley and Montage Furniture Services

I, too, am completely dissatisfied with Ashley Furniture and MFS. I believe they are in it together. I've seen complaints on the internet that go back over 6 years. Why does Ashley continue to sell MFS to customers if their are so many complaints. The office manager of the Spokane, WA location, her name is Barb, told me, "If you don't hear from me for awhile, don't worry, I'm still working on your issue." THEN, the store closed its doors without resolving my problem! Well, it's been "awhile", Barb! Now I have to try and deal with Ashley headquarters. ***.

In relation to their optional Warranty Purchase, Montage, they are the worst company to ever do business with. Montage is extremely inefficient, and customer service is very unhelpful.

Their motto is only adhere to warranty under extreme cases.

DO NOT BUY WARRANTY SERVICE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. This is totally a rip-off.

I went to Asley furniture in Catonsville, prepared to buy multiple pieces. I did just that.In total I spent over $5000. After waiting 5 weeks we called the store to inquire about our purchase. We were told they had tried to contact us but oddly no messages were left saying the furniture pieces had arrived. Once the furniture was delivered it was then revealed that the table I purchased did not come with a base, that is sold seperate.Even though I told the sales man I wanted a price quote for the set as it was displayed on the showroom floor. Then there is the sectional couch that sits slanted (which is fine if you like the effect of a sliding board) After talkng to the sales person over the phone I had to go to the store the same day that the furniture arrived.First they tried to give me a discount price for the base that their salesman did not tell me about, and as far as the couch they will send someone to take a look- again this is a scheduled thing not sure how long this takes.I am sorry but if I spend cash for a product I expect it to be intact, not in need of repair-which by the way has to be scheduled. I did try to send the pieces back, and here is the kicker, I have to pay them to pick it up and loose 30% for a restock fee. Even then I can not get my money back, but I can get store credit. In review if you have money to waist then Ashley is the place for you, and if you gamble take those chances the odds are better. What happened to quality in thier furniture slogan

Bad, bad, bad. Bought a loveseat and the "leather" has peeled off. Turns out it wasn't leather at all. Also, ordered a bed in March 2011, and still haven't used it. I received the bed and box spring at the end of May but had to have it returned because it's too big to move up the stairs. I'm still waiting for the special box spring to be delivered. It takes too long to get furniture from them. The salesman told me it would take one month for delivery....Don't think I will buy from them any more.

I recently purchased a Queen bed from Ashley Home Furnishings and that was the biggest mistake I could have made. After waiting a month for the stuff, it came in a box that had been retaped as if returned, then I opened the box to find not wood but particle board and the parts bags was opened as well as the bed frames had been scratched and painted over.

Just AWFUL!! Not to the next fiasco, trying to get a technician to but this junk together.

Ashley Furniture review in Mount Laurel, New Jersey: Last time giving Ashley my money! Huntsville, AL

I walked into Ashley on 2/16/11 & paid cash for a sectional. I was told it wasn't in stock & would take about 3 weeks. I agreed, however, my secional was delivered 4/16/11. I had to keep calling the store to check on the delivery status. I was told by a lady named Barbara I would receive the delivery fee back when the sectional was delivered. That didn't happen. It is now 5/30/11 & I still haven't received my refund. When I called inquiring of the refund, the salesman responded "you act like you're broke or something!" I wanted to curse him out! How rude! Don't promise me something and don't follow through!

Ashley Furniture Customer Service

Ashley Furniture would not send me a replacement part for a damage dining chair that I'd just pulled out of the box. Instead they told me it not there problem that I need to return to the store I just purchased it from. Not only is this time consuming but not very cost effective with the price of fuel. Needless to say I will never buy another piece of Ashley furniture for my home. I will return this set and ask the store if they carry another company brand with no links to Ashley at all. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

Ashley Furniture review in Edmonton, Alberta: The Worst Customer Service EVER!!!

We purchased TWO couches. They needed to be restuffed after only two weeks of use. Tech came and only did half the job. Somehow, they did not communicate what exactly needed to be fixed. Booking a time and day is always when it is convenient for them. Not us. We tell them we can be home for that date so they refuse to come out. They want the unit picked up! Ugh!!! They are extremely unaccomodating. Very very poor customer service. The worst. I have dealt with a lot of furniture stores before and this is the first time with Ashleys and they are absolutely terrible. Garbage.
