Wrong furniture

Needless to say, I am writing this, due to the fact that the stores handling of a wrong delivery was terrible. I received the wrong kitchen set. After waiting all day for the set to arrive, it was the wrong color and I would not accept it. I called to speak to a manager to get another delivery date, and was unable to speak to a manager. I was told he would get back to me. He did not call in a timely manner, so I called again. He would not take my call. When he finally called me back I canceled the order. There wasn't even an apology for the time wasted. I would never shop in this store again.

Do not buy from Ashley Furniture

I ordered a high top table with bar stools and a short table with regular tables came to my home. I thought me and my husband ordered it so i asked the guys who delivered it if it was my order and he responded YES. I asked my husband and my husband said that we did order the high top with the barstools. to top that off the table is limping and 2 weeks of arguing with the phone rep I went to the stoor directly and they looked in my account and told me a different story on my purchase and then went right back to the same one. I asked to see a store manager and the store manager was really rude. the dining room set was expensive and it was fake steel. 2 of the chairs are limping and it has been 3 months and i am still waiting for there call because they said they were coming back to fix the problem. Even calling corporate their customer service is *** I HATE IT PLEASE DO NOT WAIST UR MONEY AT ASHLEY'S...

Ashley are horrible in deliveries

My order was filed and was paid for in October 2007. They postpond the delivery 4 times already and I am still waiting for it. Today id Dec 10th. Besides questionable quality of the products , they are unfriendly, act as they are in charge of your life with all these re-schedule routines. I will never ever use their services and would caution others to think twice You can get bunch of calls from them with different information and it is not clear who does what and is responsible for. Actually, they responsible for nothing. To be more specific, I am talking about Miramar road location, San Diego, CA

Delivery never comes from Ashley Furniture

Will never purchase furniture from Ashley Furniture Murfreesboro Store again. Purchased living room suite, delivery time was set on a Saturday between the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. Around five o'clock we called the warehouse to see if we could get an estimated time of arrival, we were told by the distribution center that they had been delayed by some traffice tie ups but they definately would be here by 7:00 or just past. Seven o'clock , then 8 o'clock then bed time no furniture and no phone call. At least if they were not going to be here they would have called right? Wrong, they have no accountability. They are closed on Sunday and Monday so they didn't care that we had no furniture for three days. Called the store to speak with store manager, talked to Rick Doyle, his customer service skills are exceptional, he can't do anything until Tuesday and his going the extra mile is just calling the distribution center on Tuesday to set up another delivery time. Well isn't that grand. Going the extra mile would be for him to call someone above him and at least try to have the furniture delivered on Monday, even though the distribution center is closed. Asked if we would be first for Tuesday, his reply, the Trucks for Tuesday are already loaded, well if that's the case what happened to the furniture that was to be delivered to us on Saturday? No one can answer that question and they really don't care. Once your money goes into their register that's all they are concerned with. In their eyes the sale is complete and they are off the hook. Well this is a call out to all other Ashley furniture customers who have had delivery problems that go unresolved. so what they give you 89.99 back for delivery fee. What about the five to in my case 48 to Seventy two hours that we have to devote to just waiting for delivery. Never purchase from Ashley Furniture!!!!!!!!!!!! I never will again.

Ashley Furniture delivers more than just furniture.

Back in June my husband and I purchased around $5,000 worth of furniture from Ashley Furniture (at the Brentwood location) for our new house that we were building. We purchased a new bed, mattress and box springs, nightstand, kitchen table and 4 chairs, and another table and 5 chairs. The first issue happened when we were looking over our final receipt at home to make sure everything was rung up correctly. That is where we found that the sales person forgot to ring up our bed (head board and foot board, which really was not that big of a deal) and the mattress we purchased had the wrong purchase price listed. That day there was a promotion on mattresses. If you purchased a mattress and box spring you got $200 off. Well our mattress was $1599 before the promotion and it should have been $1399, and so we are off as a family back to the store to have this corrected. We get there and ask for the sales person who rang this up to have him correct this and ring up the bed that he forgot. After an hour we walk out with a new sales receipt showing a mattress for $1399 and the bed included. So at this point we think everything is okay. Delivery day comes with a bang. Since I had several deliveries that day along with representatives from different utilities over I keep the front door open most of the day. Ashley Furniture delivery people made their presence known by walking straight through the front door ignoring me as I was telling them hello, walked through the house like the owned the place and stopped in the Great Room with his hands on his hips and asked me rudely where I wanted the furniture. I know I should have remembered all the furniture that I had purchased but since it had been a few months I couldn’t remember. (I also had other furniture being delivered that day so I couldn’t remember everything. I had a lot going on along with keeping up with my 2 year old and a newborn.) When I asked what the furniture was they started quizzing me on why I couldn’t remember $5,000 worth of furniture and also questioned me on how I could pay x-amount for the different pieces I did purchased and how could anybody pay $250 for a chair. I thought that was rude but didn’t say anything until my husband caught one of them urinating in our driveway. Still we didn’t say anything. The following night when my husband and I are crawling into bed we notice that they delivered the wrong mattress. (We didn’t notice it the day before because delivery people were missing the bolts to put the bed together and had to come back the following day.) It turns out that the Sales person fixed the problem himself by ringing up a mattress that was $200 less instead of getting his manager to correct the sales price for the mattress we really did order. I go to the store manager, Robert. He was great in correcting the mattress but never did offer anything for the lies, cover-ups, and the *** in my driveway other than a “sorry”. Okay, you’re thinking how can this get worse. Well we noticed 3 weeks after we get the furniture that we haven’t received our bill. (They also had a promotion on financing which we took advantage of.) I called the store and they sent me to CitiFinancial. This is where I found out that the store started billing process one month (funded the transaction on Sept 12, 2007) before I received the furniture (Oct 19,2007). We were told that billing starts the day you receive the furniture. So CitiFiancial sent an invoice to our new house that was being built that we didn’t even own yet…we didn’t even have a mailbox until the day after we closed. The invoice was sent back and then they sent a new invoice to our old house that we hadn’t lived at for almost a year. By the time I found out what was happening they were days away from turning it into the credit bureau. I went to the manager Robert once again stating my frustration over the whole ordeal. At this time I stated that we had purchase an extra 5-year protection plan in the amount of $249 for our furniture and we wanted that back. We were told once again by their trusty sales person that if you don’t use it you could turn it in and get your money back. At this point I’m being told that I could only get it as a store credit and not cash. Now I ask you why would I want to give them my $250 that I was told would be mine. Robert the store manager says he will have to go to his regional manager for the final okay to get my money back but states that it shouldn’t be a problem and that I should get it back after all of these problems. This afternoon I got my answer from Johnny Hunter the regional manager and it wasn’t pretty. He stated that, “Why would I want to give her her $250 back if I can’t keep her as a customer?” That is just wrong. I might have gone back to Ashley furniture in a few years but now that I see how he feels for me as a customer. Why should I?

Unethical hiring Practices

On October 1st of this year, I was"hired" by Ashley Furniture. I attended training classes for two days. Use your memory is the majority of it. On the second day 2 things happened that gave me a bad feeling about ashley Furniture. They have brought a Trainer from England to head the classed for 10 days. Second Day: Hr said that none of us were hired until the classes were passed.(99% of the people there quit their jobs to work for this company. Problem #2: The trainer Mike tried to turn the furniture classes into sex education classes with the comments that he made. This company you cannot trust. The owner and the trainer got a lot of people in there under false pretenses.

Ashley Furniture Sucks

Ashley furniture sux. We purchased furniture from them with zero percent interest. We never recieved any bill for the furniture. So we called to get a bill and was told not to worry about it. The next month, we were contacted by Wells Fargo telling us we were being reported to collections. "Sorry about our bad luck, you should talk to Ashley Home Furniture." So we did. They said "sorry about your bad luck, you should talk to Wells Fargo." We went back n forth and got nowhere. I will never recommend any business with Ashley Furniture and Wells Fargo. And Wells Fargo has already been rated with some of the worst customer service this year. I am sure Ashley will soon follow.

My wife and I purchased an electric loveseat from Ashley Furniture Home Store in Catonsville Maryland on December 26, 2008. We picked the electric model because we felt it would assist booth of us to recline in the loveseat due to our health problems. My wife was going into the hospital in March for a total knee replacement and I have bone marrow cancer. After having the Loveseat in our home for less then 2 mouths the button on the left side starting acting up. Some times you were not able to close the seat from the reclining position until after pushing the button several times. The next problem that happened was that the seat would not stop when the button was released while the seat was opening to the reclining position. Now the button no longer works.

Neither Ashley Furniture Industries nor the Ashley Furniture Home Store in Catonsville, Maryland will honor the warranty on the electric Loveseat I purchased. Instead of Ashley Furniture Industries or the Ashley Furniture Home Store where we purchased the Loveseat just replacing the button, both are standing behind the fact that we did not pay to have the loveseat delivered to our home. When we purchased the Loveseat the salesman asked if we wanted to purchase an extended warranty. I asked, “Doesn’t the manufacturer warrant this Loveseat for a year”? The salesman stated that the manufacture dose warrant the Loveseat for a year. I told the salesman I felt most problems show up in the first year so I declined the extended warranty. The salesman then quoted, what I felt was an extremely high price to deliver the Loveseat to our home. I asked about picking up the Loveseat myself at the store. The salesman said I could, BUT, I would be charged $10.00 delivery fee to have the Loveseat delivered to the store where I was purchasing it. After a lengthily conversation with the salesman over the fact I had to either pay the high delivery charge to my home or a bogus $10.00 delivery fee in order for me to be able to pick up the Loveseat at the actual place I was purchasing it, I reluctantly paid the $10 and went ahead with the purchase.

NO TIME DURING THIS CONVERSATION ABOUT THEM DELIVERING OR ME PICKING UP THE LOVESEAT DID THE SALESMAN SUPPLY ME WITH WRITTEN INFORMATION ABOUT ANY AFFECT THIS WOULD HAVE ON THE IN HOME SERVICE WARRANTY. THE CONTRACT THAT I SIGNED CONTAINS ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THIS TRANSACTION THAT ASHLEY FURNITURE HOME STORE AND I AGREED TO. NO WHERE ON THE CONTRACT I SIGNED DOSE IT STATE ANY CONDITIONS TO THE IN HOME SERVICE WARRANTY BEING AFFECTED BY THE CUSTOMER’S DECISION NOT TO USE THEIR DELIVERY SERVICE.

I called the store where I purchased the Loveseat and talked to Lee Ann Abe. After explaining my problem Lee Ann Abe she said I would have to bring the Loveseat back to the store because I “Did not pay to have it delivered to my home”. I told Lee Ann Abe that was outrageous and asked where this is printed on my contract? Lee Ann Abe stated “This is on the paper work attached to the Loveseat when you picked it up”. I told Lee Ann Abe that information was not available to me at the time the contract was being made to purchase the Loveseat. This information was never presented to me in any form before or during the sale. Now Ashley Furniture Home Store wants to enforce written material that I had no knowledge of or given assess to and was never part of the contract I signed.

Ashley Furniture- Horrible Customer service!

Due to their own managment turnover, we are now stuck with a King Simmons (Made for Ashley)mattress that leaves us with back pain every morning. The Sales Manager admitted we had a fauolty pillow top that left body impressions over 3" deep, he said try this plush top- if you don't like it come see me and I'll replace it. Well needless to say, he is gone and the sales director says tough luck "we're not doing anything for you, you'll just have to keep it" What a Joke, whatever happened to the customer is always right?.... We'll never buy there again and we're making sure all our friends, relatives, co-workers and aquaintences know as well.

First and Last Time for Ashley's

I will never buy another thing from this company. I had a problem with a chair I bought and picked up at the warehouse. I was told by the salesman that the chair would be assembled when I picked it up and that there was no charge for this service. Wrong, came in a box had to assemble myself was told by warehouse person that there salesmen where like used car salesmen that they would say anything to get the sale, nothing is mention on the contract regarding not being assembled. I called the store 4 days ago and asked to speak to the Manager because I could not get any satifaction from their customer service. I still have not heard anything from Him or Her. Poor management.
