We too were ripped off and treated badly by Ashley Furniture.

I live in Danville, Virginia and have experienced the same as all the rest of the people complaining about Ashley. We bought a very expensive living room suite and it broke down in under 3 months. We were told we were too hard on the furniture. To get it fixed ourselves even though we purchased an extended warranty and even though the store is responsible for any repairs for a year after purchase. Like another persons comment our sales person is MIA and supposedly no longer works for Ashley. But, I have one thing Ashley doesn't that is a husband who doesn't back down or take *** from anyone and will take people to court, the FTC, BBB ect. to make their lives miserable. So as of right now after all their *** and *** furniture they are going to replace it, still we are pissed because he had to fight so hard and be treated so ugly from the company. We will keep you all posted as to our plight and fight. But we will never buy from Ashley Furniture. THEY REALLY DO SUCK AND RIP YOU OFF!

Ashley Furniture - Layton Utah

Worst customer service ever. My daughter purchased a sectional couch. When the delivery men were bringing the couch in through the front door they snagged it and tore the couch. Ashley refuses to replace or refund the money, stating "that it is not company policy". Even though they damaged it! They have sent someone out to sew the tear, replace part of the couch that is torn. But as of now, that has not been done. My daughter has asked for an exchange or a refund but they are immoveable. I have never seen anything like this before. They are the worst.

Ashley Furniture review in Indianapolis, Indiana: Ashley Furniture/Montage Bad Customer Service

I called Montage about our furniture warranty as all three of our pieces (sofa, loveseat and chair) were spotting really badly. I cleaned them but everywhere we spot cleaned the ring residue would get bigger and bigger and look dirty. I finally decided after two years of dealing with this, it was up to the warranty as this furniture looks very old and awful!!! We arent rough with our furniture so for it to look this bad after only two years is really upsetting. Anyway, I called Montage and faxed my sales receipt to them and after ONE FULL WEEK AND ONE DAY I called back as I had heard nothing. I was told it would be 24-48 hours and nothing. They acted like I was being unreasonable to have expected a call from a service person within a week. I cant believe that the service is this bad, yet people continue to do business with them. I will be calling every month to get the spots removed from my furniture as I was told at Ashley Furniture in Carmel/Westfield IN that this furniture was easy to clean. Easy to clean my eye.... It leaves unsightly rings whereever you try to clean it and yes I used the product they provided upon purchase and I followed the directions entirely. What a disappointment as this will be the last furniture we purchase from Ashley.

Some retailers offer extended or additional warranties, which are third party companies. Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.

is not liable for any of these types of warranties. Your authorized Ashley dealer should be able to assist you with the proper cleaning instructions for your furniture as well as getting assistance from the extended warranty company.

Ashley Furniture review in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida: Cheap materials

I purchased an entire livingroom set from Asley Furniture 2 months ago. I just noticed that a seam in the center of the loveseat has split. This piece has barely been used and when I called for service,I was told I would have to pay $40 for someone to come look at it and fix it.He did a terrible job I might add,it's very obviously repaired.I cannot believe that after only 2 months when the serviceman even admitted it was not out fault, that I had to pay for this to be repaired. That was the last time we purchase from Ashley Furniture.

That is what you get for buying something made in China! You are cheap like most Americans and want something for nothing.

Next time ask your sales person for a sofa made in the USA. Chances are A) you won't find it.

or B) You'll be to cheap to buy it. And then you will buy another one made in China and whine some more when it falls apart.

quit your whining

ASHLEY FURNITURE OF GONZALES, LOUISIANA STINKS

In rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina, I shopped at Ashley Furniture in Gonzales, Louisiana. I there were issues getting my furniture. I would be given a delivery date, I'd have to *** from work to be there and on the morning of the delivery called by there customer service dept. to be told that my pieces came in damaged. This happened over 5 times. When I finally got my furniture, some pieces were obviously damaged before even leaving the store. I would call back to schedule for a technician to come out or for them to pick up the pieces. I was lied to repeatedly by their customere service dept. I spoke with one young lady there that help me tremendously. I ended up having to call back for more defective pieces and happened to ask for this young lady because I felt that she would at least help to resolve my issue and was told in this proud way that this youg lady had been fired for not doing her job. I couldn't believe that because I know the she helped me tremendously. I have relatives who also purchsed from the Gonzales store and also had the same problems and referred them to this young lady. They also felt that she was an exemplary worker. This young lady was truly an unknown asset to that store. I don't know where the other people in that store came from, but they are truly incapable of being customer service reps. I will never shop there again and will do all that is within my power to keep anyone that I know from shopping there as well.

Sound like Tammy02 loves to defend all of the independently owned stores which from reading all of the complaints, how many of the independently owned stores actually stand behind their word Tammy02? I worked for Ashely Furniture and would never buy even a lamp shade from them. I have seen first had how "junk" is put together!!

Ashley Furniture review in Dallas, Texas: Worst customer experience with Ashley

I have been a customer at Ashley store for some time. I ordered my 3 seater sofa, love seat, table set and my bed at Ashley. I had a horrible experience when I thought of burying dining furniture. I ordered a dining table along with a mattress from Ashley furniture store.located at PLANO Next to Collin Creek Mall 1201 N.Central Express Way 972-509-2560. Myself and my wife went to the Ashley store on March 1 2008 and selected a dining table. They had a special promotion going on that day which had like 1.5% tax off and 2 chairs free. They had an option to get the extra 2 chairs or take the price of two chairs off of any other product we buy in the store. We also chose premier protection and paid $149 for it. So we selected a mattress and we were told that the order will be available in 2 weeks and we will get a call etc., After we came back home, the sales guy at Ashley called me and told that the dining table we ordered was back ordered and it would not be available until 4-6 weeks. We liked the dining set very much so I told him we would wait if the set would definetely be available by 6 weeks and he said yes. We are expecting a a baby end of April (another week from today ) and we wanted to have the dining table ready by that time. We got the mattress in 2 days. I waited until April 20th and did not hear anything from Ashley. So I went to the store on April 20th evening and met with the office folks there. I spoke with a lady and she checked the PO and told me that they system is showing that it would not be available until end of may. I was shocked and told her that I cannot wait that long and I need a confirmation on when it would be available. Then she spoke with the store manager who come to the place where I was standing and did not even bother to talk with me, ask me what the issue was etc., The office lady told me that they need to talk to factory and see if they can get my order quickly and they would do it on Monday as the factory folks are out on Sunday. I gave them the best number to reach me and came home. I got a call on Monday evening from the Ashley store and informed me that they did not hear anything from the factory and they would call and update me on Tuesday. I told ok, thanks and was waiting for their call. I did not a call on Tuesday, Wednesday and finally today (Thursday) afternoon I went to the store again to check on the status. I again went to the office again and gave all my information. There is a new lady at the office now and she checked my PO and told me that my order is delayed until mid-June. I was shocked once again and told her that I came 4 days back and they were supposed to get back with my status update. Then they called the sales guy who initially sold me the furniture (his name is John). John came and he remembered me and then they called the manager. Manager came and again he did not even bother to either talk to me, greet me. He spoke with the sales guy and took the PO details and went and started looking for some information on his computer. John (Ashley sales guy) told me that he is trying to call the factory folks to see if the product is discontinued or if they can speed up the order. Meanwhile my wife who is 38 weeks pregnant was also waiting with me without having lunch. I went around to see if I can select something else if my dining table is discontinued. We were waiting in the store and did not hear anything back. I went back to office to check on the status and the manager is missing from his place. I called John and went searching for the manager and could not find him any where. I waited for some more time and told him that we need to go to lunch. John promised that he would call me with the status. We had lunch, I went to office and after waiting until 6PM I went back to Ashley store again and met John. He told me that he has not heard anything from the store manager. Store manager was called in and John asked him about the status. Even now the manager did not bother to talk to me or greet me even though I was right next to him. When John asked about the status, store manager told him that he did not hear anything and so he cannot do anything until they get back. This is the conversation that went on.. Me: What should I do now? Ashley Manager: I don't know, we need to wait for factory folks and I cannot guarantee when they will get back. So we need to wait Me: I have contacted the store 4 days back, why was the factory not contacted in the last couple of days Ashley: I don't know I cannot do anything Me: So what should I do now? I have been waiting for the last 1 and half month for my dining set.. Ashley: Cancel it ! Me: what? Ashley: Yes cancel it or wait for it Me: OK cancel it.. I cannot believe that you are saying that to me Ashley: We are responsible for factory delays Me: How can you say that? You are the store manager and you need to make sure the customers buying form the store. Ashley: No I am not responsible and the manager just left :-( Leaving me with no choice but canceling the order. Now here after waiting for 6 weeks,. with my baby due in a week no dining table and I am more hurt by the arrogant attitude of the manager. Added to this, I was charged $85 for the mattress delivery, the 2 chairs price (which was around $260)which was supposed to be taken off from my mattress price is not taken off as the dining set is canceled and I am left hurt and deeply frustrated. I reported this issue to the customer support on April 29th and got a reply saying they are concerned about my situation and will contact the local store and its been 8 weeks since then and I have not heard anything since then.. I'll never again buy or recommend any one buying from Ashley!

Thats great my son ordered his bedroom set February 3rd

2009. And they told me up to 4

weeks for delivery , it never came. I had to call ashley , then another two weeks and after that another two weeks. By April 9th I asked for a refund. Iwas told by the office it was sent to the fiscal dept

in Chico, Ca. I was told by the Redding, Ca store that refunds take 7-10 Business days to be recieved by mail. Well It's April 30th Now! I have not received a refund and they can't tell me when they are going to send it out. So what do you do about this you go to the media and the consumers and also small claims court.

Ashley Furniture review in Fort Lauderdale, Florida: Ashley steals your money

Written by burned in illinois, on 26-06-2008 14:05 I AGREE WITH EVERYONE!!! I purchased a dining set. I have had 6 table tops in 3 months, all defective. My chairs are starting to crack in the seats. I finally, after arguing for months got them to give me a refund, BUT, they couldn't tell me if my citibank Ashley credit card would only be credited or if I would receive a check. AND I would not get my delivery charge refunded, because they tried too many time to deliver the table top. THEY HAVE ALL BEEN DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE! Not my problemo, So now they are going to send another table top and I was told this is the last time, I have to pick one or the other defect or not. DO NOT DEAL WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE!!!!!!!!

Ashley Furniture--Horrible all around

I purchased furniture from Ashley on May 18. Yes the contract states 2-4 weeks for delivery, however saleswoman stated product could be delivered on May 29 & Jun 2. Those days came and gone and was told they do not give dates...saleswoman did however. Each week called to check on status and told a different date each time. I have now been waiting 38 days... Current excuse is Olympics are interfering with delivery due to manufacturer being in China. I will be investigating my options further... Never seen anything like this before. Do not listen to a word they say and expect products to come separately or take a long time. Also, beware of delivery fees for each delivery... No word yet on quality... Do not know when I will be able to determine that...
