My finance and I bought a living room set from Ashley's. Upon delivery, we realized the table they delivered was not the one we ordered.
It was however the table that was on our bill. We went to the store and the manager apologized but he explained that two different tables were tagged with the same item number! We couldn't get the table we actually wanted and ordered in the first place because it came with extra pieces we didn't have room. They said the tables we wanted are only sold as a set.
That should have been the first clue to the salesman who place the order that something was wrong because there were three tables instead of one! We had them pick the table up the next day and we assured our account would be credited. Three months later and countless phone calls we are still waiting to see our bill adjusted. We are currently paying for a table that we had for 72 hours!
Every time we call we get the run around and no one seems to have a clue what is going on. Then someone tried to tell me we agreed to accept a store credit! Although the store manager acknowledge that was not our agreement we are still infuriated! It was there mistake, there mismarked furniture and we returned the table promptly.
We don't want a store credit we want our money! We are furious and frustrated and warning everyone not to buy Ashley's.
We were warned by my fiance's sister and brother-in-law but didn't listen because we liked the couches (which we kept and love) but the customer service is horrendous!
