Ashley Furniture - Ashley bicast leather ***!
Ashley sells garbage! Bicast leather flakes off within a year of purchase. Looks horrible and the flakes wind up all over the house. Took a look inside when I threw it out, OMG! I've never seen cheaper shoddier construction on anything! It was stapled together plywood and 1/3 of the time they missed with the staples!
Sales person lied and lied and then lied some more when we bought it. We had to cover it in the first year because it looked so bad. But that doesn't stop it from flaking apart and it doesn't stop the flakes from getting all over the house.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Monetary Loss: $300.
Preferred solution: Ashley closed down..
Ashley Furniture Cons: Furniture coming apart.
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

We have the same color (different style) --sofa and love seat-- and much worse peeling and disintegration of the product. At least they were consistent with their lies about the quality and refusal to care that the furniture was worse than any you would expect to be legal.
It is definitely not moral or ethical to sell such junk and just scummy to fail to correct the abuse of customers. North Little Rock Arkansas.
just found out shoes are now made the same way. Bicast leather.
Leather scraps laminated with plastic then 'grain' embossed to look like leather.
And can be sold as genuine leather. Just another thing to watch out for as stuff gets cheaper and cheaper.
Mine lasted 5 or 6 years with regular upkeep and normal usage. Once the flaking started there was no stopping it.
Pretty horrible honestly for how much was paid for this sectional. Mine was like the picture except that only the seat cushions disintegrated.
Mine lasted 3 years.
so disappointing to see... I just bought a PU leather couch about 10 mo ago from Ashley's Furniture ....
