ASHLEY FURNITURE they tell you all furniture is made in USA it's made in China and it's JUNK!

My wife & I purchased $10,000's in new furniture almost 5 yrs ago. After having our furniture for more than 20 years we thought we deserve a change. There are so many problems I don't no were to start I'll do the best I can. We will start with the china cabinet finish peels off, came in 2 pieces they never removed staples in top and ruined the base called the store and their reply was I'll give you a $25.00 dollar credit or give you a new base but there be a pick up and delivery charge. We also purchased dinning room, chair legs uneven they blamed the floor why is it the other chairs were fine? Also 2 living room sets complete sets all junk "please" if you decide to do business with them check cushions you can't flip them to help ware due to them being covered on 1 side, another piece of cheap ***. Customer service the pits after the sale m.vanhall@yahoo.com

I am going through this with my bed. I bought my bed May of 2010 it broke in Oct, it took them weeks to agree to fix it.

Maybe 8 months after they fixed my bed it is broken AGAIN, same problem, same side, only this time the headboard was messed up from the side rail breaking. They refuse to fix it because its past a year of me owning the bed.

Clearly this is a lemon. A bed is not built to last only 2 years nor will it break in the same place more than once unless its a problem with manufacturing.

Poor set up, missing parts, poor quality | Ashley Furniture in Athens, Georgia

The first delivery from Ashley furniture was a table and six chairs. The table had a black smudge mark under the finish and was not part of the wood grain. Two of the chairs had screws that ran through the back of the chair breaking the wood. If we had not screwed them in all the way, the chair would not be secure and be able to be used. After a heated discussion on the phone with a store manager, we did get a replacement table but when the delivery people set it up, they barely secured the table legs. Second delivery was a server...no shelves and the delivery people did not put on the feet to the server....another call to customer service and now I have to wait 7-10 days for glass shelves to be "cut and shipped" to my house....then call and schedule a time for a tech to come out to install the shelves and put on the feet....really? seriously? Not waiting for strike three...they're out on two...I will be thinking long and hard before I ever get anything else from Ashley furniture!

Bought a dining room set and buffet to match. The buffet was built poorly.

It was not damaged by shipping, it was actually built incorrectly to where one of the legs would not fit. The other three slots for the legs was built properly. It was obvious that the woodworker knew this and tried to do some of his/her own correction to the server and just gave up. I will have to submit photos to show at a later date.

Customer Service was not good at all, I started off being nice but that did not work and I had to ask for management. This was our first purchase with this company and will be our last. Even though the company's customer service told us they will order a new one, it has been over a week and it is still not here.

I'm trying to be patient but we spent a lot of money and in this day and age when many people are unemployed and companies are closing...you would think this company would develop better customer service skills and have quality assurance at their factories before shipping out to their customers. Signed, Unhappy Customer!

Ashley Furniture

I went to Ashley Furniture to buy living room furniture and I picked out a living room set called Danielle Eggplant. Let me tell you about the set. First off i found the same exact set at Countrywillow.com for much less then the 4,000 usdollars i spent on the furniture, more or less about 2,000 dollars less. So I called them and I suppose they made the adjustment but then, What happened is definatly unforgetable. They had about 8 weeks to tell me that the furniture was there but not all of it was there. They said that they called, to an imaginary phone number. They told me that they have to set up two times for the furniture, i said fine not like i have anything better to due. So the first shipment came and they delievered it and it looked nice and i said you going to hang the mirror or no we dont do that. how do you have a furniture company no less and not hang a mirror that I bought from you. they just dont. The moving people leave in a hurry. The next shipment came about 3 weeks later and they moving people just left i didnt sign anything. I looked at the accent chair and noticed there is a tear in the fabric i called the customer solution center and spoke to Shanta whom told me to they will pick it up the next day they did pick it up to only return it to me the next day and said that they were going to send me the fabric to fix it. Do I look like someone who know how to fix the furniture. to them it is to Show room standard. I told them fine. At that point i am beyond pissed off. Then Yesterday my mom calls them and you need to talk to the management team in order to get anything done. So monday moring we are both calling in this is *** as anything I will not recommend Ashley furniture to anyone it is bad business and bad quality of furniture.

I bought a recliner from Ashley in July. After it showed up at the warehouse a week later and I picked it up, lo and behold, there was damage (veneer peeling off the frame). The 'fix' Ashley provided was to send someone out with wood glue. Shortly after, my wife and I...

Never again at Ashley Furniture!!! Takes forever to deliver and than they do NOT deliver every thing.

So you have wait for another couple of weeks to get the rest delivered even though they tell you in the store, that it is defenately all there in the stock. Very dissapointing!!! They deserve no stars!!

At the store they tell you one thing but reality is completely different!

Weird Experience at Store on North Decatur | Ashley Furniture in Washington, District Of Columbia

I went to the Ashley Furniture off of the 215 and Decatur to buy a chair. I pretty much expected to just be able to walk in, buy the one I wanted and walk out with it. Didn't happen. The guy helping me was very nice and personable but when he looked to see what they had in the warehouse his computer showed that there were 7 chairs in the warehouse, one good and reserved for someone else and 6 damaged. I couldn't get one from the warehouse until nearly New Years. I wanted the chair for Christmas. I asked if I could just buy the one out on the floor and the manager refused to sell it to me. Why is it that I could go to a car dealer and drive off with a brand new vehicle the same day but I couldn't buy a chair at a furniture store??? I went home looked up the chair I wanted and found it on line for $50 cheaper with free shipping. It may take a little longer to get it but since I would have had to wait anyway I might as well pay less for it. Ashley Furnitures loss! Too weird!!

It's very commonto have to order furniture, the floor model is usually just a representation for the product and in the case that a company sells their floor model, that might gain one sale from you (probably discounted because its a floor model) they may lose many others while waiting for a new one. What I would be much more concerned about is that out of 7 chairs, 6 are damaged and they can't even make one good chair out of those 6? That definitely raises a red flag...

Ashely Furniture is a rip off! | Ashley Furniture in Los Angeles, California

Ashley furniture store in Yuba City, CA (now out of business) sold us a leather chair/ottoman that was delievered WRAPPED & IN A BOX & the when we unwrapped it the chair hard 2 tears in the material. It also had a piece of wood that would protrude out of the back & strech the leather when someone sat on it. I called & they insisted on sendiong out a tech to fix the tears. HE "forgot his cell phone" on the day he was suppose to come out & showed up @ a different time other than our appointment had been agreed upon. I ended up taking a 1/2 day off work for nothing. WHen I called the store in CHico back they finally aggreed to order a new chair (but since the store in our town closed we would be charged $60 delievery fee). I STILL haven't received the new chair & it's going on 2 months. The Chico store is now closing & I don't know if I'll ever get it replaced.

Lied about broken chair | Ashley Furniture in Hagerstown, Maryland

On October 23 2009 My husband and I bought 2 chairs from the Hagerstown MD store. We had to pay in full before the chairs would be shipped. November 17 was our delivery date one chair was broken and had to be sent back.A new chair was to be ordered on that Tuesday. Three weeks later we had a new chair arrive and it was the same broken chair. It took until January 27th before we finally got our chair. We made many calls and so many lies were told to us by Dana at the warehouse and Laura the store manager. I will never buy anything from Ashley again EVER!!!!!

Nothing Right To Many Things Wrong | Ashley Furniture in Rochester, Minnesota

Ordered a dining room set through an independent Ashley retailer who delivered it without the left and right arms and install hardware for two of the captain chairs. After contacting retailer received the arms and wrong install hardware. I called the retailer who in turn order the right hardware from Ashley. I ended up trying to install the arms only to find Ashley sent two more left arms instead of two rights. I finally received the correct chair arms. Upon closer inspection, the quality of Ashley's furniture is one step above the to be assembled stuff found at Kmart and Target.

Service not from Ashley Furniture.

I wish that I would have looked at some of these web sites to review the service, or rather lack of service that folks received from Ashley Furniture before I bought from them. I have been though a day of frustration in my attempt to deal with this company over a chair that arrived damaged. I have been waiting for over a week for a call back from their technician. After my initiation of calls today I have been told that the chair that was broken is fixed and will be delivered next week. I have attempted to discuss with any person of authority that I don't want a broken chair. I paid for a new chair and that is what I expect to receive. Calls to a "manager" are a waste of time, these children are not in a position to make any decisions and their answers are scripted. If the discussion falls outside of their script they simply say nothing which is frustrating in itself. They provide no customer follow up when asked and do absolutely nothing to assist their customers. Once they have their money, they could care less about you as a customer. I will never shop at Ashley Furniture again.

I'm in the same boat. I bought a furniture set, sofa, loveseat and chair.

What do I find? The chair is damaged.

I'm 3 1/2 hrs away from the store that I bought it from not expecting to receive broken furniture and they expect me to bring the broken chair back and switch it for a new one. I spent all day arguing with them and I'm getting nowhere.

I just left the Ashley Furniture Store @ 4432 Lemay Ferry Rd., St Louis, MO, 63129. I walked around looking at furniture a good 45 minutes and not once did any sales person stop and ask me if I needed any help.

One salesperson walked by me 3 times to make her way over to stop and talk to other employees.

Several times I saw sales people standing around talking and finally I thought I don't want their furniture anyhow if they are going to treat customers that way. Too bad for them just bought a two story condo and need furniture for the entire place.
