Dinning room delivery horror or lack of delivery | Ashley Furniture in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Same thing happened to us.. paid up front or won't order... paid MC not Ashley card (should have used then no money laid out) after 2 months still no Dinning room suite ... expensive one with 8 apolstered chairs.... finally after finding out they had fired our salesman for not selling more insurance policies for faulty furniture... got to the manager who actually called me and riped me a strip about they don't build the furniture... after weeks and weeks of fighting with them... a few chairs showed up... then another couple weeks for the table and the rest of chairs... we had to have seat on chair renewed from get-go. Already had huge snag on delivery. Manager & Assistant manager very rude. Compliaints fell on deaf ears and actually were abusive to me and would not return my calls. Winnipeg store near airport. September, 2008. Still pissed and wish I had seen this site previously.

Bought 2 recliners that fell apart | Ashley Furniture in Madison, Wisconsin

I bought 2 reclining chairs from ashley furniture in madison wisconsin only to have the backs fall out not even 2 years later.Mine the back gave out and would not come back up after being reclined.also the workmanship in it was horrendous.bolts were extremely loose that needed to be retightened every month.also the levers and reclining mechanism cut into the fabric and the foam.THAT IS JUST MY CHAIR!!! My fiancees chair the back kept going further and further back along with the fact that they didnt put enough foam into the footrest were the corner of the footrest cuts into your calves.This was the biggest waste of money i have ever spent 2 chairs in less then 2 years.with qaulity like this i cant see how they stay in business.

buy american? i work around the people, (americans like me) 3/4 of them dont give a *** about the quality of there work.

ive been in the union with the lazy as*es. they want to get paid for doing nothing. and you wonder why the jap cars go 400,000 miles and ours go 200,000 miles. why we get that *** from over seas?

because it costs to much for the lazy people here to get up and do some work. im not saying everyone is that way..

I will never shop at Ashley Furniture again!

My 92 year old mother purchase a recliner from the Layton Utah Store. After it had been delivered she notice a defect in it's contruction. The service people came to look at it and informed her it was perfectly fine. It wasn't! Repeated calls to the customer service department finally resulted in the service technicians return visit. He informed her that he would have to order a part to fix it. While leaving her told her she was very difficult to deal with. Great customer relations! I have been trying to get a manager to return my calls without any success and the chair still has not been fixed.

I think people are just not used to getting something "NOW". Our consumer driven market drives people to want to shop and have it in their house the next day.

People have a hard time waiting. Then when a damaged piece comes they get all pissed of because they have to wait another week to have their furniture "NOW".

Just be patient people. That is how this company can offer the nice prices it does, it ships stuff from it's wharehouse, however, it won't come in just one day!

First and Last Time for Ashley's | Ashley Furniture

I will never buy another thing from this company. I had a problem with a chair I bought and picked up at the warehouse. I was told by the salesman that the chair would be assembled when I picked it up and that there was no charge for this service. Wrong, came in a box had to assemble myself was told by warehouse person that there salesmen where like used car salesmen that they would say anything to get the sale, nothing is mention on the contract regarding not being assembled. I called the store 4 days ago and asked to speak to the Manager because I could not get any satifaction from their customer service. I still have not heard anything from Him or Her. Poor management.
