Ashley Furniture - Ashley was closed by fraud in Mexico
On March 2010, I went to Ashley Home and Furniture and bought a complete bedroom set. They told me that since their factory was in California, the furniture was going to arrive after 8-10 weeks, after 11 weeks we went to demand any explanation why we did not had already the furniture, they told us that they had transportation problems, but soon we was going to have our product.
Thereafter, we listened the same argument at week´s 12th, 13th and 14th.
At week 16th, we went again to the store, but surprisingly, the store was closed by a federal order by the Mexican government due to violations to the customers rights, because Ashley Furniture simply did not delivered their furnutire to hundreds of clients and moreover, they continued selling for months. Thus, me as hundreds of other clients were deceived by Ashley, we lost our money.
Monetary Loss: $1200.
Location: Mexico, Capital District

They "build" very little here in the US. A majority is made in SE Asia and they have to "ship the goods" from there to the US.
Then put it in a warehouse/Dist. Center and then get loaded onto Semi and then taken to the store that sold the items and finally delivered to the customer
This is horrible -
I should move on fast to get my money back,
I bought dome 5,000 dollars' furniture at
Ashly and the promised delivery is delayed
over and over for two months and
now they say, by September 30th,
my already paid furniture will be delivered. What a horrible thing this is!
