I purchased a swivel rocker recliner from Delongs Furniture in Shoemakersville, Pa. They delivered on a Sat 2 wks ago.
I called them Wed after purchase because they are closed Mon n Tues to let them know the chair was always leaning front and I wanted to return it. They told me all Ashley chairs lean front when not reclining and said they dont take returns. This is not true because I just had an Ashley chair. The chair has been covered with all tags still on.
My husband is 79 yrs old and now cant use this chair.
I asked them several times to let me return I wd purchase another and they will not. Said it is against the law to take back furniture.

I made a purchase in July and they have delivered damaged furniture 3 times, no one gets back to, it's always a recording, they don't inspect the furniture they just keep sending damaged items

First, the delivery of my couches was absolutely reckless. I was following them around trying to get them to be careful because they had already damaged my foyer in their first attempt.
In the process they damaged my freshly painted walls that cost $10k+ to get done. I called Ashley's delivery services immediately and let them know and sent initial pictures. I followed up with more pictures a few days later.
Then they said it would be 3-5 business days to hear a response on the damages. Didn't hear from them for two weeks, so I called back to see what's going on.
I ended up getting a nasty customer service representative names Samantha that was rude n& refused to talk to me since I put the order under my husbands name (out of respect to him) but paid with MY credit card. She also claimed the follow up pictures meant nothing because they were sent after the 72 hour claim period.
I kept telling her that I sent original pictures and reported the reckless delivery within the proper time and these were follow up pictures. Her response was you're not "husbands name" rather than address the issue as a means to not deal with me.
Nothing resolved, I'm out thousands of dollars and a lot of aggravation.

The delivery of my bookshelf was a disaster the doors are not even they don't close correctly the delivery was May 19 and to this day June 20 Ashley has not fixedI'm still waiting

In early 2022 I purchased around 16k worth of furniture from them. I told the sales guy that we were relocating to a different city in a month and if the items could be delivered to Sacramento vs Los Angeles.
He stated no but if we take the items in the moving truck with us he will give us a good deal. Im like ok. Fast forward to 11 months later and the 2 seater recliner we purchased with an extended warranty stopped working properly. Called the extended warranty company and they said to contact Ashleys because its been less than a year.
Ashley sends a tech out, tells me the parts for the massager will be ordered and shipped to me in 7-10 days. 5-6 weeks later no parts. Call the store I bought it from to find out whats going on and it turns out they will ship me a new recliner but its to my old address. I told them I dont live there anymore and it needs to be shipped to my new address.
They stated that they cant do that because it voids the warranty. So your telling me a customer can never move because of your policy. Now Im stuck with a defective recliner that doesnt work properly because of a change in address. Side note according to the tech this is a common problem with the recliner.
Really Ashleys???
My next step is to file a BBB complaint requesting a refund and for them to pick up their defective recliner. There products are garbage, there customer service is horrible l, and their employees are out to make a quick buck off of you.

I purchased a dresser and mirror online in September 2022, for my granddaughters' birthday. Both items were broken upon delivery and I immediately called in and reported.
I sent photos as requested. They scheduled someone to come out to inspect the items on three different occasions however, they did not show up or call. Finally after calling every day, waiting on hold for 30 plus minutes, someone finally came and confirmed that the items were not repairable. They scheduled replacement items to be delivered and the broken dresser picked up on 10/20/22.
Again, no one showed up. By the way, we do have a ring camera that records everyone who comes and/or doesn't come to the home. After more attempts to have the items replaced to no avail, I contacted the credit card company and filed a dispute.
I received an email from someone in your customer service dept. in January 2023.
Mind you, this all started in Sept. 5 months earlier and not one attempt on Ashley's part to rectify the matter. The only resolution was either they come get the dresser and mirror now (6 months later), or they would give me a 25% discount for broken furniture. I told the representative that my son fixed the dresser with supplies he purchased and we would keep it, however a 25% discount is not acceptable.
Would you pay almost full price for two pieces of broken furniture?
To add insult to injury, she went ahead and scheduled someone to come out and pick up the items without giving us any information, they came on a Saturday while no one was home. I reached out and told her that we would not be sending the dresser back but 25% was not acceptable. Once again they show up at the house, this time damaging the lawn. I submitted photos of the damage, was told the in home claims dept would call.
They left a voicemail, I have called back several times and no one returns my call.
I am left with a dresser and mirror that literally had to be put back together by my son. A full price charge on my credit card. Many hours wasted on hold, being talked to very disrespectfully, lied to (I was told a supervisor would call me back so many times I lost track, but of course I never got a call), waited for someone to come inspect the dresser on three separate occasions and no one came, then complete silence from October 22 until January 18, when the credit card company let Ashley furniture know I filed a dispute.
The rep that was emailing me about the dispute has completely gone silent and not returned my email. OHHHH and I was told in home claims would call about the damage to my lawn, nope not one call!

Bought a 2 piece dresser set. 1 month after purchase, the wood began to split on the top of both pieces.
Had an Ashley 2yr warranty, bought an extended warranty. I called warranty number. A service rep came out and told me that both tops were defective and needed to be replaced. After 3 months no word.
Called and was told that determination was that wood split because of change of environment.!!
(I live 2 miles from warehouse)kept calling and was told that I would have to wait 2 years until Ashley warranty expired and had to use extende warranty because Ashley warranty did not cover damage due to environment after numerous calls nothing got resolved. After 2 yrs. I wrote to extended warranty Co and was told that they would not cover because Ashley warranty should have covered and that the extended warranty doesnt cover defects.
The tops of both pieces are now splitting in several places and the lamenent is swelling. Im More than pissed!

This chair just doesn’t seem the same as the one I sat on in the store. I think they must’ve brought a second.
