Ashley Furniture - Sofa Review from Washington, District Of Columbia
I purchased the extended warranty through GBS for my Ashley Durablend couch and loveseat and was told "peeling isn't covered on Durablend only on top grain leather products". Both are peeling in several places. When I was sold the warranty I was of course promised...

Customer serivce terrible | Ashley Furniture review from Washington, District Of Columbia

I ordered a recliner and it was damaged. they said they were going to order anew one or order the part for it. several days had passed and they had not made their mind yet. I talked one person and one story, everytime I call I got adiffert story. The manger of the store in Springfeild Mo. told me that I was rude because I was going to reject the order. She said, she considereit a threat. All I wanted was answers and Ijust got differt stories. I could not get anyone to respond to my calls. Finally after getting mad with them, someone called and said it was suppose to at there store tommow. I do not know if it is the truth or just an story. I plan to more furniture but in no way, will it be from Ashleys Furniture. Frank Burton in Springfield, Mo.

Ashley furniture

I have spent a lot of money with Ashley furniture. I bought a King Size bed. My rails broke once it took them 2 weeks to come & fix it. Now they have broke again!! I will NOT purchase anymore furniture from Ashley Furniture. I have found the Value City furniture is better. I had a living room suit that lasted me years!! Their customer service is horrible!! So, I have to use my gas to drive to the Ashley Furniture where I bought the bedroom set. The money I spent on our bedroom suit I could of went to a Amish Store knowing nothing would fall apart!!!

Ashley furniture company gave us a discount for buying from clayton homes, the house ids falling to the ground and when they delivered the furniture into the new empty piece of #$^* home they ruined the carpet throughout before we moved in. We had to track the owner down, phone calls didn't work so we found him.

Told him we would get a picketing permit and see then, he sent a check to replace it. We had to wait to move in.

Ashley Furniture Bed

Ashley Furniture does not have good customer service..or product.

I purchased a 14 piece set in early February of this year. I live in St.Marys, GA so I had to pay $400 to have it delivered. Loveseat, couch, area rug, two lamps, coffee table, two end tables and a 5 piece accessory set. When I was opening the accessory set, one of the pieces was broken. I reported it to the corp office and was told that they would order me a new one and that they would call me in approximately two weeks. I was also told that I would have to drive the 40 miles to Jacksonville, FL to pick it up. 6 weeks later, and no calls, I used what I had and discarded the broken piece. A week later, I had received four calls from people in the store telling me the replacement set was there...I told them all the same thing that I didn't want it, but they kept calling. A second complaint I placed to the corp office was that less than 30 days after this large purchase, the set went on sale at 50% off...for someone pinching pennies, this devistated me...not only did they not forward my message to the store manager, but the girl that answered the phone was the rudest, nastiest young woman I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. A second call to the corp office and the woman I spoke with was nice, but "there is nothing we can do for you" No offer to talk to a manager of any kind. I'm so disgusted now because the cushions slip (they sent out new ones but they do the same thing). I love the product, but don't feel I was treated with respect from anyone in the store regarding my issues. I will never go back there again....Question: If I paid 400.00 deliver charge initially, why would they make me drive the 40 miles to fix there mistake???

You should report this to the BBB. Go to BBB.org and file a complaint.

Fight it. Ashley Furniture sucks and the more people that know about it, the better.

Ashley Furniture is beyond horrible

I went to Ashley Furniture, in Champaign, IL, to buy all my furniture for my new apartment. I spent $1600 on a living room set. At first they ended up ordering me the wrong furniture and it took days to contact the Customer Service "specialist" to fix the solution. After she re-ordered me new ones I had to pay extra for the new ones even though it was their mistake. A few months after I moved my TV stand to get to the cords and the two back legs broke. Having the warranty, I called them to have them replaced. They responded telling me it was my fault and they would not do anything for me because it was done in my home. After calling the company CS they told me they had to do more and to go back. After I went back to the store the CS specialist was extremely rude and told me I'm out of luck and they WILL not do anything to fix it. Again, I called corporate and they said they would send in a letter to the store and I will hear back soon. After two weeks of hearing nothing I called corporate back. They told me that they will not do anything. This company is a scamming corporation. They are misleading and their furniture is cheap garbage. I do not recommend buying from them.

Manager mistreats employee in front of consumers | Ashley Furniture review from Washington, District Of Columbia

I was in Ashley Furniture Home Stores in Spanish Fort, Al about 2 months ago and I was shopping with family. As I walked into the clearance center I wittnessed the manager climbing what seemedo be the warehouse guy. The manager called the young man *** and was down gradeing him. I was honestly surprised th young man kept his cool. This type of behavior should not be tolerated in a professional type of atmosphere. The manager should be let go. Last week I came to pick up my furniture and found that the nice young man was fired. If you are going to fire anyone it should be the manager. I have never seen a situation of reverse discrimination in my life.

Horrible Client Service at Ashley Furniture

Horrible Client Service at Ashley Furniture
I had bought an entire living room + bedroom furniture delivered last Thursday 3/1/12. Whomever put the bed together must have missed a screw or two because the bed collapsed the same night. Angered, I called the Paramus location letting them know about the issue and they said that it was out of their control once the furniture left their store. I was directed to call customer care and did so right after. After having to explain the same story to three different customer service representatives I was told to email pictures of the broken bed to one of the reps. After doing that I was contacted later in the day and told to forward the same picture to another lady (why the rep couldn't forward the picture herself is beyond me.) Mind you, I stressed to them that I have a full time retail job where my hours are inconsistent each day and guests who are currently sleeping on the floor including myself since we are out of one room to spare. After emailing the picture for the second time I was contacted a day later by the same rep telling me that I was *** out of luck until the following Wednesday morning (3/7) since they don't do deliveries or service requests on Monday, were already booked on Tuesday. I took the day off today (3/7) and I requested that someone come first thing in the morning to fix my bed so I could set up my room for the rest of the day. I was told that this was possible and although highly frustrated, I made do. I waited until 10AM this morning and no one showed up. I called the same customer care rep and after she looked into it apparently the request didn't go through but she explained that she did everything correctly on her end which I found to be highly doubtful. I asked if they could have one of the trucks come back or send someone out with the plank needed to fix my bed and I was told this is impossible. I am currently waiting to hear back from the customer care rep to let me know exactly what time they will come tomorrow (3/8) and have to *** work ANOTHER day for no good reason. My experience with Ashley customer care has been awful. Communication is obviously lacking between representatives and amongst the departments and individual stores do not seem to care to help solve the issue. I plan on never shopping at Ashley due to their horrible client service.

Ashley Furniture in Wichita Falls Texas

Have obtained an attorney that can be reached at mrm@malonefirm.com...or at 940-689-8811..Ashley submitted one offer, but not the full amount plus legal fees. So we move on to court. Unless they will reconsider their first offer and refund the full amount. Please if you are facing this same problem contact this attorney. Some one needs to make them accountable (Ashley's) if you read on this site and many others i have found we are not the only ones who have been duped by these people. Surely justice can be found,if we try.

Dear consumer My attorney has now gotten me a full refund. It is worth the price of the attorney to have justice served, although he has now submitted his bill to them also..if you are interested I was told taking them to small claims court was just as easy, as what I did, But never having run into this sort of problem I did not know what to do..Good Luck

Bought a bedroom suit and a sectional from this store, which gladly took my money. Promised a delivery date no later than 6 weeks out and after numerous calls and visits finally got our furniture almost 4 months later.

Now that we have had our sectional that looks like it is 10 years old b/c the cushions have rippled and the couch creaks every time you sit down, move, sneeze or get up. Every time I have called to get service or have someone come look at it, I am put on hold for 10-15 mins and then when the person comes back to the phone they say "Who are you holding for?" and clearly has forgotten you were on hold in the first place. The manager(s) are just as worthless as the reps. They promise you the moon when you are a buyer but once you buy, they ignore your phone calls, won't return calls or claim they can't do anything for you.

It's been almost 6 months worth of calling(we live an hour away) and multiple trips(they have random days they close the doors at random hours) where nothing has happened. If we could turn back the clock and stay the *** away from this store, I'd pay much more for that than we did for our furniture.
