We purchased a king mattress and an adjustable base from the showroom in Orlando. The bed was delivered and set up as promised.
Within a week, we noticed that the mattress would not stay in place on the base, it would slide from side to side, so that one side had a few inches of the mattress hanging off it and the other side had the base exposed, which did not feel good each time I whacked my heel on it. We also noticed that the outer fabric of the mattress was beginning to rotate around the inner material. so the piping on the side of the mattress was moving on to the top of the mattress. This is very uncomfortable to try to lay on.
We have spent over a month trying to resolve the problem. Ashley has sent out 2 techs and one of them even reccomended it be replaced, but Ashley refuses to follow up on that idea.
We have even told them told them that we were willing to purchase a completly different bed set, if they would just remove this defective bed from our home and issue a credit. As of today, the escalation manager has told us that there is nothing they can do and we are stuck with a very expensive bed that cannot be slept comfortably on.notiouter
User's recommendation: Do not buy furniture from Ashley. They do not stand behind their products or believe in customer service.
Monetary Loss: $1900.
Preferred solution: Full credit for the mattress and base. We will then begrudgingly purchase a different bedroom set from them, even if it come at a highr cost..
