Ashley Furniture - Expensive lift Recliner stopped working after 6 months
Purchased an electric recliner for my husband for Christmas. He is disabled.
The motor quit working after 6 months. The merchant couldn't seem to get a replacement motor. Replaced the hand controller instead. It worked for 3 days, then quit with a burst of smoke and a burning electrical odor from the motor.
After several calls and complaints to the merchant, I did get a partial refund from Classic Furniture in Canon City, CO. He said they were a great company and never had any other complaints. I find that extremely hard to believe. He even accused us of abusing the chair!
However, I did get my refund.
So I guess I'm luckier than most of Ashley's customers.
Reason of review: Damaged or defective.
