My wife and I went to go Furniture shopping for a new couch. Upon finding the one we liked we sat down to negotiate the deal it was revealed that their promotion was only valid through one bank no where on any advertising does it say I have to open another credit account to for ashley furniture to get the 72mo financing. Also after looking online e there pricing was over 1000.00 more they said they won't price match an Internet store. After negotiate some more he said he would could do 2800.00 for the sectional tax and 5yr protection. I did not have that available on my account with them. I called an hour later to say I was going to take the deal as I came up with the other money. I was then told that it was plus tax which we had discussed an all inclusive price. I relented and applied onlinexpensive for the other financing and was approved so again my wife and I head to the store. When we walked in I asked for our saleswoman and saw the manager while we waited for our saleswoman I spoke to the manager told him I wanted the deal we discussed earlier he called his manager then said 2800.00 all in. I went to tell him I got approved for the new financing and he again changed the deal to 6mo interest free financing. His response was I have to keep the lights on sorry as he waved his hands in my face and started to walk away. My wife and I left completely embarrassed and angered after being treated like we had done something wrong. Now I have ano additional inquiry on my credit for nothing

Terrible service. Bought a dining set and living room set they sent us a scratched dining room table and refused to help us. They told us there is nothing they can do and that we would have to go through warranty company who also refused to help us. Ashley's tried to blame us for the scratch but it is a scatch that obviously happened while they wiped off the table before delivery. The people in the Middletown ny store were absolutely no help and refused to replace the table. We called the main company and refused to help us as well. Never do business with Ashley's. They don't care about their customers

Ashley furniture sucks.

I purchased 4 pieces of furniture from ashley furniture in August of 2011. a few days after the furniture was delivered I noticed that the arm rest on both the couch and love seat were making noise and something on the inside was loose. I called ashley up and they sent a repairman out to "fix" the problem. Around this past Christmas I noitice that the problems returned. I called Ashley up to find out that they would not cover the repairs because the furniture was out of warrantee, as a courtesy they would send parts but I would have to pay for the labor. I was totally disatified with there response; I will never buy anything from them ever again.

I too bought a camel colored sofa and recliner from Ashley with the guardian protection plan. My recliner was delivered with an ink mark on it , which they deducted 20.00 for and I was told to use my leather prod.

Cleaners on it. The color came off, in fact you can't even wipe either piece off with a clean slightly damp cloth because the color comes off and shows white. Ashley wouldn't help they referred me on to guardian which wouldn't help either.

4 years later now, and I am looking for new leather furniture. Which im afraid to buy, seems all leather has bad reviews.

Ashley Furniture took payment, will not deliver, refund, or return calls.

A friend of mine (an ESL speaker) purchased several items from Ashley furniture in New York in December. She paid cash for these items. She is a person who does not earn a great deal of money, and so furniture for her children represents a large expense for her, which she cannot afford to lose. She was initially given a delivery date of December, which was pushed back twice due to "issues with the warehouse." She called customer service on four occasions. The woman who answered the phone at the number given told her to "shut up" and told her that she would have to speak to a manager, who was on vacation until February, and then hung up on her mid-sentence. She came to me in tears to ask for help, convinced that she would never see her money or the bed she had bought for her daughter. The store she purchased the items from has since closed; their number is disconnected, so her only recourse is the customer service number given. I called this same number later, myself, as my friend thought that her accent might be why they were treating her this way. I am a native speaker and an attorney. The woman who answered the phone did not hang up on me, and said that I would have to speak to the manager - who had just gotten into the office (apparently, he is not on vacation until February 6) - and he would return my call. I left my number. I have just called back, four hours later. The phone rang ten times and then went to voice mail - my fear is that they are not going to pick up the phone because they have identified the number we are calling from and are unwilling to resolve the issue. If we do not obtain a response by tomorrow, I will have to proceed to small claims court. I am extremely disappointed in the way my friend was treated, and the complete unwillingness of the "customer service" people to assist her with her problem. I am also extremely disappointed that a Hispanic lady is hung up on, while a white-sounding lady is treated better. My hope is that we can recover the money she spent for these products either because the customer service people will answer my call before tomorrow, or that we will obtain a recovery in court. I could not recommend people use this retailer, based on this experience - particularly if they are Hispanic.

I still don't have my bed!! | Ashley Furniture review from New York, New York

I have had an absolute HORRENDOUS experience with Ashley furniture and will never shop with them ever again. I ordered a bed from them on 11/5 and scheduled delivery for 11/19. The delivery experience was unprofessional - late by over an hour, didn't speak English, showed up in a rental van, and didn't have all of the pieces for the bed. Phone call after phone call, and multiple story tellings later, I was given the run around and told that the manufacturer screwed up and they'd have to re-order the foot board. Another 4 weeks later, we schedule yet again delivery for the foot board.. the day before delivery, when I'd normally get a call confirming a window of time, I get a different phone call from the store manager saying she 'screwed' up and they don't deliver again in my area until the end of the month. The best she could do was work something out for next week. After 8 weeks of dealing with this, it would be typical for me to schedule delivery next week only to find out that something else went awry. I am completely DISGUSTED with how they treat customers. I'm sick of hearing "that's the best we can do, ma'am". I am still without a working bed, and now I have to pick-up the thing myself and cross my fingers it's correct. What a disappointment! Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Macy's, Bob's, West Elm, and R&F ALWAYS put the customer first and would be completely EMBARRASSED to ever find out someone was treated like this by their associates. Never again!
