Just purchased new fabric recliner from Ashley Furniture and the odor from it is very irritating. It's been 3 days and the smell isn't dissipating.
I called Ashley and they agreed to take it back after getting tossed around to a few customer service people and sales reps. Finally the local store manager approved the return. I told him that I was having trouble breathing and an allergic reaction. I think this is what convinced them to take it back.
They also agreed to refund me everything except for the delivery charge and I would have to pay a "pick up" charge for them to come and get it.
The pick up is scheduled from a week from now. Hopefully this all works out!
