My new sofa and recliner were delivered in May 2015. I noticed the sofa seats were sagging almost immediately. I am a senior and don't weigh 200 pounds. As they were not seperate cushions I could not switch them, nor turn over. In November I went to the store and talked to a salesperson about the problem. She gave me the phone number for customer service and a furniture tech was here within a week to " fix " it. He located a zipper and took out all the stuffing. We fluffed it up and put it all back. He told me the stuffing should be fluffed up every two weeks to keep it looking good and that I could buy more of it at Walmart. He advised this problem is very common. I really don't think a sofa should need to have the filling adjusted every two weeks or buy more. I wasn't told about it at the time of purchase. Within a month, sure enough, the seats were flattened once again and the recliner seat back as well. The fabric no longer fit properly either. I called the saleslady who directed me to the manager. He offerred to send out a tech again. When I explained furniture should not have to be fixed repeatedly, he became condescending and gave me a canned response, " I am sorry you feel that way".
So here I am writing an online complaint for the first time. Aside from the manager, the staff I dealt with were polite. For your own peace of mind and value for your money stay away from Ashley Furniture. Yes, it looks good but is not good quality nor durable and if you have problems, tough luck.
