I bought a Sofa/Love Seat with Durablend in Long Beach CA at Ashley Furniture store July 2012 ... I was told this was great and durable...

it would Last... the Leather started peeling and now they act like Oh Well. I've been doing some research and found that this problem has been on-going before I purchased my Sofa...

I bought a couch 2 months ago, when we opened it there was a tear on the side. I called that same day to schedule an exchange. Twice my order somehow disappeared, another time they changed the date of delivery without consent. And the 4th they were trying to send it to the wrong address. Let's just say 2 months later I still have no new couch and have currently been on hold for almost an hour. I'm never buying from them again.

I ordered a chest of drawers the day before Christmas last year. It was a present for myself so I thought. Well, on Christmas day I told my boss about it and he told me to cancel it that he had a practically brand new one he would give me and even deliver it for free. Well, I called Ashley Furniture to cancel it on the 26 of December, they weren't supposed to even deliver it til the next Tuesday. I stayed on the line for over an hour and finally got a recorded msg that they were now closed and to call back tomorrow. So I called back the next morning again was on hold for over an hour and then was told by there very rude operator that my 48 hours was up and that I could not cancel it all they would give me is a merchandise credit. I asked for a supervisor and held on for another hour and I hung up and called my credit card to dispute the charges. He told me he could take them off right then and there and not to worry about it. Said just feel out his dispute letter. Well, Ashley furniture then started calling me about setting up an appointment to have the chest delivered. I told them that I no longer needed it and got one for Christmas and they kept saying I had to buy it or I would get a merchandise credit. Well come Tuesday delivery day they again called saying it was on back order, they did not have anymore in stock. I again told them to cancel it that I did not need it and also told the woman if they delivered it I would refuse and send it back. Again the same thing even though they do not have it available I cannot cancel it. Ridiculous!!!! Well, the very next Tuesday around 2 pm the delivery man comes to the door and is wanting to deliver the chest that I ordered, I told him I was sorry but I was not accepting this chest that I had tried to cancel with numerous people and that I did not need it any more or want it. A few minutes later I get a call from Ashley Furniture wanting to know why I was not accepting this chest. I told her and hung up on her. I never had to get a merchandise credit and they never tried to charge me again. But save yourself the aggravation and don't even go in there stores.. I told them I would not even ever window shop in there again...

So your saying that no one noticed something being broken for over 2 years huh? And I'm sure there is no way that your daughter broke it by maybe jumping on it in the last 2 years?

We just assume it was the installer 2 years ago?

Makes perfect sense to me, I would blame them too. You know what, I bet they set it up to fall apart the day after the warranty expired just to mess with you too

Customer Service.. NOT | Ashley Furniture review from San Antonio, Texas

I recently purchased over 4500 dollars in furniture from Ashely Furniture Homestore in Live Oak Texas. We arranged for deliverly and when the initial delivery came, we were short a curio cabinet we had purchased. They delivere dthe cabinet on 20 Sep... but it was missing the 5 glass shelves and the key... note that the cabinet was now locked. I called Ashleys and they profusely appologized and stated that they would deliver the missing shelves and KEY on 21 Sep between 2 and 6 pm. Well 6 pm rolls around on the 21st, and no delivery. I again call ashleys and am told that "OH NO its not 6 pm you have to wait until 8PM. I had the person on the phone check to see when the delivery would most likely be made and she had me on hold for a good bit, and then came on the line and said the driver didn't have our items... ooooops... we waited all afternoon and NO ITEMS on the truck... hmmmm. I then told the person on the phone that I couldn't sit an wait for them to arive at their convienence sometime between 2 and 8pm... as the 22nd was Saturday and since I had just moved into a new house, I needed to go get groceries for my kids... we had NO food in our new house. I told her that they could deliver between 10am and 2pm on Sat... she said... give me your number and I'll call you back and let you know when they will arrive. I waited and lo and behold... not return call. I called the Manger the next morning around 10AM (Thats when he gets to work) and he promised that the key and shelves would be delivered but it would have to be between 2 and 8pm. I told him I wouldn't be at home as I had to go get those groceries and feed my kids in the process... again... no food in the new house. He stated that the store would take responsibility and drop the items at my door... and if something was wrong, or missing he would take the responsibility and get the items to me. Well we arrived home around 5pm and sure enough, there were the shelves... but still no key. I am so frustrated with Ahsley's that I disabled the lock and am writing this to let everyone know, that the service from Ashely's Furniture in Live Oak is the worst. I spend 4500 dollars there, but will never again... there are many other furniture stores in the San Antonio area that have the same quality and price and I have to believe MUCH BETTER SERVICE. Ashely... a note to you at corporate... your service is the worst... I will never recommend anyone use or purchase anything from Ashley's in Live Oak and if given the opportunity will discourage anyone even thinking about buying from Ashely's.
